If there were a perfect way for a defensive player to begin the NFL season, it’s safe to say that Rams linebacker Nate Landman experienced something close to it on Sept. 7, 2025. As Los Angeles clung to a one-score lead in Week 1’s final minute against Houston, Landman — eventually named as the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week — became heroic through a game-clinching forced fumble to secure a 14-9 triumph. Alongside the incredibly-clutch “Peanut Punch” play, Landman helped conquer the Texans through a 10-tackle afternoon (six solo) and a QB hit during his do-it-all season debut.
