Chiefs safety Justin Reid sat in the box after the snap on this third-down play in Super Bowl LVIII, watching for the running back to slip out of the backfield for a pass. When it became apparent that the back was going nowhere, and the quarterback began to step up away from the pressure to try to escape the pocket, Reid shifted gears and began to chase down the quarterback. He arrived a split second before his teammate, and they brought him down for a critical third down sack to force a punt. Reid finished this one with nine tackles and this half-sack, as Kansas City went on to beat the 49ers in overtime, 25-22, to bring home the title on Feb. 11, 2024.
