In the fourth quarter of this matchup between Cincinnati and Washington in the final week of the 1988 NFL season, the year in which he'd be named NFL MVP, Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason dropped back to pass off play action and heaved this ball downfield just before getting hit. The pass was perfectly placed to hit his receiver in stride, allowing his man to go the distance for a 69-yard score that tied the game. Esiason threw for 187 yards and two touchdowns in this one, as the Bengals beat Washington in overtime, 20-17, to close out the regular season on Dec. 17, 1988.
