Late in the first quarter of this 1999 matchup between the 49ers and Panthers, San Francisco quarterback Jeff Garcia dropped back to pass and heaved up a prayer down the field to one of the best receivers in the history of football. The ball was perfecly placed, hitting his man in stride just before he crossed the goal line for a 48-yard score. Garcia threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns in this one, but the 49ers would ultimately fall to Carolina, 41-24, on Dec. 18, 1999.
