Near the midway point of the 1999 NFL Season, superstar Chiefs linebacker Derrick Thomas got a rare opportunity to show off his skills with the ball in his hands. Dropping back in coverage, Thomas pounced when a teammate knocked the ball high into the air, snatching the ball out of the sky for the first interception of his career. He then made some moves as he returned the ball 20 yards to set the offense up with great field position. Thomas also added five tackles and a sack in this one, as the Chiefs beat the Chargers, 34-0, on Oct. 31, 1999.
