On a crucial third down in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XXV, with the Giants trailing by two, tight end Mark Bavaro kept the drive alive by getting open on the right side, hauling in the pass, and then adding some yards after the catch to secure a gain of 17 yards and a first down. Bavaro would go on to make two more catches in this drive, helping lead the Giants down the field to kick a field goal that gave them the lead. Bavaro tallied five catches for 50 yards in this one, and the Giants would wind up holding on to that slim lead to beat the Bills, 20-19, on Jan. 27, 1991.
