The Vikings had just put a field goal on the board to cut their deficit against Detroit to five with a handful of minutes to go in the game when Ivan Pace Jr. and the Minnesota defense took matters into their own hands to try to take control of the game. After a teammate jarred the ball free from the opposing running back, Pace scooped it up and took off running, flying down the sideline for a 36-yard scoop-and-score to take the lead. Pace tallied 10 total tackles and one sack in this one, in addition to the first touchdown of his NFL career, but the Vikings would end up falling to the Lions in this one, 31-29, on Oct. 20, 2024.
