Before some fans had even located their seats during Oct. 3, 2024’s NFC South showdown between Tampa Bay and Atlanta, the two high-powered offenses had combined for 17 opening-quarter points and nine different passes of 10+ yards. Seeing as though big plays were seemingly on sale, Cade Otton made himself the next customer, crossing the Buccaneers’ condensed formation before collecting a short reception, followed by a 19-yard catch-and-run. Otton’s sequence — which set up a 23-yard score two plays later — was among many in a firework-filled 36-30 loss to the Falcons; for his efforts, the third-year pass-catcher accumulated three catches (on four targets) and 44 yards.
