Even with one of NFL history’s most productive kickers and a three-point lead built up, the Ravens understood that a field goal-based battle wasn’t a comforting, contender-type way to survive. In need of a player capable of using on-field separation to create separation on the scoreboards, Baltimore turned to Zay Flowers, who accepted the challenge by using elusive speed to find both a seam and an eight-yard touchdown catch. The Las Vegas Raiders’ comeback would ultimately deal a 26-23 loss on Sept. 15, 2024, but Flowers — in a Year Two building block-like game — was fantastic, producing seven catches (on 11 targets) for 91 yards and a score.
