Playing for one of the most creative offensive staffs in the NFL, Lions tight end Sam LaPorta likely knew that, though his number was called on this play, it may take awhile before the ball heads his way. With some help from a little trickery that saw both a running back and receiver touch the ball before it landed back in the quarterback's hands, LaPorta found some space down the right sideline, and when the ball was chucked his way, he finished the play in style, making a great over-the-shoulder grab before rumbling into the end zone for a 52-yard score. The touchdown catch was LaPorta's only catch of the day, but helped Detroit to a big 47-9 win over Dallas on Oct. 13, 2024.
