Given his No. 1 rank in total tackles through Week 9, Zaire Franklin, by most measures, couldn’t have been more can’t-miss if he tried; yet on Indianapolis’ first defensive drive, it’s quite likely that he didn’t mind blending in. Monitoring Minnesota’s recently-returning Pro Bowl tight end during a double-covered endzone route, the Colts veteran linebacker capitalized on an ill-advised toss, keeping the Vikings off of the scoreboards entirely with a tone-setting interception. The Vikings would eventually find their rhythm, dealing Indianapolis a 21-13 loss. Franklin, though, shined on Sunday Night Football’s stage nonetheless, compiling nine tackles (seven solo) and one pick on Nov. 3, 2024.
