As if inspired after seeing safeties, punt return scores, field goals, and every method in between, Takeo Spikes stole a moment for himself, vacuuming up a misplaced handoff before proving bengal to be faster than panther on a 45-yard fumble recovery touchdown. The Bengals found themselves outmatched in a 52-31 loss to the Panthers, but Spikes entered the record books anyhow, pairing his NFL career’s first defensive score with three tackles.
